We, along with @pastormarkburns - spiritual advisor to President Trump, had the honor to receive the true Heroes - the defenders of Azovstal. Those who held the defense in the darkest days, who became a symbol of the indestructibility of the Ukrainian spirit, how they were badly wounded, but did not surrender They told Pastor Burns their hard memories, we talked a lot about the power of faith during the war, about resilience, about the hope that is born even in the most difficult moments. Also, Heroes emphasized that many of the defenders of Azovstal have been held in captivity, russian captivity, for more than 1000 days... Today, together with @pastormarkburns Mark Burns, we visited the National Military Medical Clinical Center "Main Military Hospital" in Kyiv. We had the honor to talk to Ukrainian defenders who are currently undergoing treatment for their injuries. Each of them has strength, dignity and the true spirit of Ukraine. We delivered the humanitarian aid needed for the wounded and had a productive meeting with the hospital's leadership. Pastor Burns personally expressed his support for the Ukrainian soldiers and thanked them for fighting for freedom and democratic values shared by Ukraine and the United States These meetings are not just visits. They are evidence of our common belief in the victory of good over evil. Together with @pastormarkburns Burns, we visited Babyn Yar, one of the most terrible places in the history of the Jewish people, where hundreds of thousands of innocent people, the vast majority of whom were Jews, were shot by the Nazis during World War II. I was honored to read a prayer for the souls of the victims, and together with our guest of honor, we honored the memory of the victims who died simply because of their nationality, faith, and origin.
